McManis Faulkner partner Hilary Weddell has been appointed to serve on the Executive Committee for Santa Clara County Bar Association’s (SCCBA) Real Property and Business Law Section.
The SCCBA Real Property and Business Law Section is a law group designed to support attorneys in the practice areas by providing networking opportunities and by meeting continuing legal education needs and professional development interests. The section offers several seminars each year in those substantive practice areas, including an annual review of the statutory and case law changes to real estate and business law during the previous year.
Weddell represents individuals and companies in civil matters, including contract and employment disputes, business torts, fraud, commercial real estate actions, class actions, and shareholder and partnership disputes. She also has extensive experience in employment litigation. She was recently named a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, an honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Weddell earned her J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School (2013) and her B.S. from San Jose State University (2008).
