Paralegal Deborah Barbour was a guest speaker at “The Fundamentals of Transitioning to the Paperless Law Office for Paralegals,” hosted by the Institution for Paralegal Education (IPE). She gave tips on procedures for scanning and managing digital documents. She also shared best practices for organizing physical, hard-copy documents.
This course invited paralegals, legal technicians, legal assistants, and legal support staff to learn the pros and cons of transitioning to a paperless law office. Participants learned effective methods to save document files, and how to identify different types of equipment, software, and backups.
Deborah has more than 25 years of paralegal experience and applies her legal skills throughout discovery and trial for all attorneys at McManis Faulkner.
