Tianqi Sun Pens Article for Daily Journal on Deposition Preparation

Associate Tianqi Sun recently drafted an article for the Daily Journal offering advice to lawyers on preparing their clients for depositions.

According to Tianqi, depositions can be “the most harrowing part” of the litigation process and they often take place when the client feels most vulnerable.  As a result, “preparing a client therefore requires careful attention to detail, open communication, and thorough practice.”

Tianqi reviews a few key steps to prepare a client for deposition, including what the process looks like, how to conduct a pre-deposition interview, and the value behind mock depositions. He says, “Effective preparation not only strengthens your client’s position but also helps alleviate anxiety.”
