McManis Faulkner congratulates partner Brandon Rose for receiving certification by the State Bar of California as a Family Law Specialist.
The State Bar certifies attorneys as specialists who have gone beyond the standard licensing requirements. To receive certification, an attorney must pass a written examination; demonstrate significant trial and court experience; and receive favorable evaluations by other attorneys and judges familiar with the attorney's work in the specialty area of law. Attorneys must recertify every five years.

Chair of McManis Faulkner’s award-winning Family Law Group, Rose handles complex family law matters, resolving property and business disputes, as well as contested child custody and support issues. He is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association Family Law Section and served on its COVID-19 Taskforce, which seeks to improve legal operations during the current pandemic. Rose serves as a Judge Pro Tem for the San Mateo County Superior Court’s “Divorce in a Day” Program, which helps self-represented litigants obtain a judgment of divorce or legal separation. He has been named a “Rising Star” by Northern California Super Lawyers magazine from 2017-2020. Rose received his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School (2009) and his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2004). Between college and law school, he taught English in Japan.
