McManis Faulkner Attorneys Named to Northern California Super Lawyers 2016 Rising Stars ®


McManis Faulkner Partners Tyler Atkinson and Ruby Kazi, and Associate Neda Shakoori were named to the Northern California Super Lawyers 2016 Edition – Rising Stars. Recognizing the premier up-and-coming attorneys in the region, approximately two percent (2%) of the Northern California Bar received this distinction.

Super Lawyers Rising Stars is a listing of outstanding lawyers, from more than 70 practice areas, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. To qualify, attorneys must be either forty (40) years old or younger or in practice for ten (10) years or less. The objective of the selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that may be used as a resource to assist in the search for legal counsel.

Atkinson represents individuals, closely held businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in a variety of civil cases and complex disputes. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School (2008) and his B.A., with honors and Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of California, Santa Cruz (2004).
Kazi focuses on business litigation, trust and probate litigation, civil rights and criminal defense matters. She represents individuals and businesses in all stages of a case, in both state and federal courts. Kazi earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School (2003) and her B.S. from Northwestern University (2000).

Shakoori practices civil litigation with an emphasis on commercial and business law matters. Representing a wide array of clients from public companies and closely held businesses to individuals, she works with clients to solve complex intellectual property disputes, securities fraud claims and personal injury cases. Shakoori received her J.D. from Lincoln Law School (2007) and her B.A. from the University of California, Davis (2003).
