Marwa Elzankaly Returns to McManis Faulkner

McManis Faulkner, a leading Northern California trial firm, announces the return of trial lawyer Marwa Elzankaly as of counsel.

Marwa, who was with McManis Faulkner from 2000 – 2012, has a multifaceted practice, representing individuals and businesses in general civil and commercial disputes, including antitrust, trademark, trade secrets, breach of contract, and unfair competition. She has successfully tried federal and state court cases, and won a number of appellate cases.

“We are extremely happy to have Marwa return to the firm after a break to live abroad. Earlier in her career with us, she served as lead counsel in a number of high-profile cases. Marwa’s diverse skills and trial experience further bolster our team and provide another resource for our clients,” said James McManis, head of McManis Faulkner. 

An active participant in the legal community, Elzankaly served on the Standing Committee on Professional Conduct for the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. She taught business law for the University of California, Berkeley and has given lectures before the San Mateo County and California State Bars. Elzankaly also presented to entrepreneurial groups such as the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN Silicon Valley).

Elzankaly has received the California Lawyer of the Year Award (CLAY) from California Lawyer, was selected as one of the top 20 attorneys in California under the age of 40, one of the top 100 litigators in California by the Daily Journal, and one of the top 40 lawyers under 40 by the Silicon Valley Business Journal. She was also honored by the YWCA of Silicon Valley with the Tribute to Women and Industry (TWIN) Award. Elzankaly received her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (1999) and her B.S. from the University of California, Riverside (1996).
