Hilary’s inquisitive mind, strength, and dependability make her an excellent trial attorney.  She specializes in employment law, utilizing her business acumen to counsel and represent clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in a wide variety of industries.  Her employment litigation experience includes wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour cases, employee misconduct, and theft of trade secrets, among others.  In addition to her employment practice, she is also called upon to represent individuals and companies in civil matters, including contract disputes and civil rights cases against government entities. 

As a published author of numerous articles and blogs, Hilary’s affinity for writing began while serving as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael Coyne, Boston Municipal Court, and as editor-in-chief of the Boston College Journal of Law & Social Justice.  A member of McManis Faulkner since 2001, Hilary brings her commitment and passion for the law to every matter she handles. 

Professional and Community Contributions

Hilary currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Cupertino Educational Endowment Foundation, a non-profit that ensures ongoing excellence for all students in the Cupertino Union School District.   She is also a member of the American Inns of Court, William A. Ingram Inn, and the Santa Clara County Bar Association Labor and Employment Executive Committee. Deeply committed to the greater San Jose area community, Hilary has been instrumental in organizing the firm’s involvement in the annual Adopt-A-Family Holiday Giving Program. During law school, she served on the executive boards of the Litigation & Advocacy Society and Business & Law Society.
